The Bianco

 e Nero Festival

The Bianco e Nero Festival was established in 2016 in Cagliari, as an ambitious project dedicated to the arts and, most of all, to the promotion of reading in all its forms. Since then, every year, the festival transmutes the Sardinian capital into the beating heart of a cultural dialogue that extends beyond the city walls, expanding its reach through “variations” and events throughout the whole island. Over the years, the festival managed to find a home in various regions, involving cities such as Oristano, Nuoro, Sardara, and Dolianova, to name a few, with the idea that culture should be a traveling and accessible asset.

THE FESTIVAL

What sets the Bianco e Nero Festival apart is its commitment to highlighting not only celebrated writers but also intellectuals who have explored the less common aspects of many disciplines, opening new horizons of knowledge through innovative methodological approaches. Over time, this vision has brought to the festival stage leading characters in the fields of journalism and social analysis: protagonists of these sectors, such as Tony Capuozzo, Nello Scavo, Nico Piro, Paolo Di Giannantonio, and Valerio Cataldi, as well as experts such as Gioacchino Bonsignore for the field of food and wine culture, Gianluigi Paragone, and Barbara Serra.
